1. During installation, whether the air filter and the engine intake pipe are connected by flanges, rubber tubes or direct connections, they must be tight and reliable to prevent air leakage, and rubber gaskets must be installed on both ends of the filter element; The wing nut holding the air filter outer cover should not be screwed too tightly to avoid crushing the paper filter element.
2. In the maintenance, the paper filter must not be cleaned in the oil, otherwise the paper filter will fail, and it is easy to cause a car accident. Maintenance, only use the vibration method, soft brush removal (along with its crease brush) or compressed air blowback method to remove dust and dirt attached to the surface of the paper filter. For the coarse filter part, the dust in the dust collecting part, the blade and the cyclone tube should be removed in time. Even if each time can be carefully maintained, the paper filter can not fully restore the original performance, the air intake resistance will increase, therefore, generally when the paper filter needs to carry out the fourth maintenance, it should be replaced with a new filter. If the paper filter element is broken, perforated, or the filter paper and the end cap are degumming, it should be replaced immediately.
3. When in use, it is necessary to prevent the paper core air filter from being wet by rain, because once the paper core absorbs a lot of water, it will greatly increase the intake resistance and shorten the mission. In addition, the paper core air filter should not be in contact with oil and fire.
4. Some vehicle engines are equipped with a whirlwind air filter, the plastic cover at the end of the paper filter element is a diversion cover, the blade on the cover makes the air rotate, 80% of the dust is separated under the action of centrifugal force, collected in the dust collection cup, the dust reaching the paper filter element is 20% of the amount of dust inhaled, the total filtration efficiency is about 99.7%. Therefore, when maintaining the whirlwind air filter, be careful not to leak the plastic deflector on the filter element.
